Day at Lake WilsonWahiawā, Oʻahu

Day at
Lake Wilson

We are postponing Day at the Lake to Spring of 2027, due to ongoing changes at the park and lake. Please check back for more information as we get closer to our spring date. Mahalo!

One of the biggest freshwater lakes in Hawaiʻi, and beautiful forested spaces. This year come explore the lush park lands and learn, play, and relax. No boat rides this year.

POSTPONED! for Spring 2027 9 AM to 2PM Wahiawā Freshwater State Park

A day to enjoy the park— and learn how to take care of it

PLEASE NOTE: THIS YEAR WE ARE NOT HOSTING BOAT RIDES. WITH THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE DAM, THE LAKE IS CLOSED AND TOO LOW FOR BOAT ACCESS. BUT PLEASE JOIN US TO EXPLORE THE FORESTED AREAS OF THE PARK, WITH LOTS OF FUN ACTIVITIES AROUND SUSTAINABILITY, OUTDOOR RECREATION,  PLANTS, AND SURVIVAL SKILLS.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Wahiawā community invite you out to the Wahiawā  State Freshwater Park to explore this amazing park. It's a real treasure sitting in the middle of historic Wahiawā, and most people who drive past it every day have never experienced it.

Come see it up close. Eat, listen to music, make something with your hands, and pick up a few ways to be a good steward of the island's fresh water. Bring the whole family — there's no charge to come in.
